LED Street Lighting Conversion

The conversion of conventional street lighting to LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) can help local authorities to:
  • Reduce energy consumption and costs
  • Reduce carbon emissions
  • Reduce ongoing maintenance costs
Salford City Council has already successfully converted 24,000 street lights, delivering annual savings in excess of £1 million in street lighting energy and maintenance costs as well as significant carbon emission reductions.

Further conversion programmes are underway in Trafford, Tameside, Wigan, Bury, Bolton and Manchester.
