We want to make Greater Manchester a safer, more peaceful place to live.
That means changing offenders' behaviour, helping crime victims get back to a fear-free life, and improving job opportunities to encourage people to live independent, law-abiding lives.
We work with agencies and voluntary groups on initiatives to change criminal behaviour, looking especially at prolific offenders.
Those people often have complicated lives with a variety of problems. So, we involve specialists in things like substance misuse, mental health and wellbeing, housing and employment.
And we're creating better prospects for children leaving care, as they are more likely to become crime victims or offenders.
