The main decision-making body of the GMCA.

GMCA Standards Committee

The Standards Committee deals with matters of conduct and ethical standards regarding members of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and its committees.  

GMCA Resources Committee

The Resources Committee considers matters relating to the transition to an integrated Greater Manchester Combined Authority.

GMCA Audit Committee

Checks that the finances of the GMCA and the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities (AGMA) are managed to high standards of openness, integrity and accountability. It is a legal requirement to have an audit committee.

Joint GMCA & AGMA Executive Board

Facilitates co-operative working between the GMCA and the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities (AGMA).

AGMA Statutory Functions Committee

Monitors the performance of, and grants paid to, organisations funded by the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities (AGMA).

Greater Manchester Heath and Wellbeing Interim Board

A strategic partnership of elected members and health service representatives that looks at public service reform and issues affecting health and wellbeing.

Greater Manchester Joint Health Scrutiny Committee

Reviews and scrutinises health services and acts as a consultative body to local health providers when they have a duty to consult.

Low Carbon Hub Board

Representatives from the public, voluntary and private sectors oversee low carbon policies and projects that contribute to economic growth while protecting our natural environment.

Transport for Greater Manchester Committee

Oversees the travel services provided by Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM). Three sub-committees look in more detail at: capital projects and policy; bus travel; and the Metrolink and rail networks.

Police and Crime Panel

Council leaders and independent members with skills and experience of criminal justice and community safety. Works with the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime with a focus on the Police and Crime Plan. 

Police and Crime Joint Audit Panel

A joint audit panel between Greater Manchester Police and the Deputy Mayor of Policing and Crime.

Independent Ethics Committee

To help build trust and public confidence, an independent policing ethics committee – the first of its type in the country – will advise the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime, Beverley Hughes, and Greater Manchester Police on the complex dilemmas that policing faces in the modern world.

GM Health and Social Care Strategic Partnership Board

A partnership of Health and Social Care representatives which oversees the development of Greater Manchester's Health and Social Care reform strategy.

GM Skills and Employment Partnership

Leads and oversees skills and employment policy and services to make sure we are helping Greater Manchester's economy to grow.
