This year, the government is investing £2.5 billion in the National Skills Fund as part of its Plan for Jobs. The National Skills Fund will help adults to train and gain the valuable skills they need to improve their job prospects. As part of the National Skills Fund, the government has funded a wide variety of Skills Bootcamps, which offer adults aged 19 and over with the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with a local employer.

Babington are delivering two Level 3 digital skills bootcamps: Skills Bootcamp in Digital Leadership and Skills Bootcamp in Analysing Data.

The courses are designed to support both employed and unemployed individuals over the age of 19. The programme will support participants with a new avenue to become more digitally literate in our modern economy. Both courses are open to anyone with access to online learning and a commitment to developing their skills over 12 weeks.

Code Nation are delivering a 12 Week Software Development Bootcamp, aimed at females looking to enter the tech industry. Course participants will learn about working in an agile environment, the lifecycle of a technical project and how to work in teams as software developers. The course will cover a wide range of front end and back-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, MySQL and use these to create their own projects in teams.

Firebrand Training are delivering a series of 12-week digital skills bootcamps in a variety of specialisms including: Data Technician, Junior Software Developer, Microsoft IT Engineer and more.

All bootcamp participants will be allocated a Success Coach to support their learning and will benefit from up to four vendor certification or exam vouchers such as Microsoft, SAS, CompTIA and EC Council.  All learners will also get a guaranteed interview.

IN Digital is a 14-week multidisciplinary digital, tech, and business skills bootcamp with embedded learning about employability and business readiness. The programmes 7 units of study include: Employment and Business Readiness, Computing Fundamentals, Digital Sales Innovator, Cyber Security Technician, Tech for Good, Cyber Security Risk Analyst and Business and Entrepreneurship.

The programme aims to support the long-term unemployed, disadvantaged groups, career changers, and those who need to re-focus coming out of furlough in starting on the pathway for a digital career. The bootcamps are led by Manchester Metropolitan University and delivered by a consortium of Greater Manchester specialist partners including GCHQ, BAE, and BBC.

This 12-week Data Analytics Bootcamp will be conducted online by an expert tutor, providing an overview of the tools and techniques that can be used to unlock valuable business insights. Learners will get chance to apply these skills in real-time project activities and gain an understanding why this information is so important to businesses successfully competing in the current and future marketplace.  

This Skills Bootcamp in Data Analytics provides a good opportunity for anyone unemployed and looking to retrain and/or explore a new digital career, those looking to upskill in their current role and self-employed individuals looking to work smarter by understanding how data can aid their business. The bootcamp is open to anyone over the age of 19 and living in Greater Manchester.

We Are Digital is providing a series of free 12-week Skills Bootcamps in Digital Marketing to help people get back into work and gain positions within digital marketing jobs of the future with exciting employers.

Following course completion participants can choose between three progression routes: guaranteed job interviews with digital employers, Level-3 (or higher) Apprenticeships with an employer, or support setting up a new self-employed project.

The bootcamps are open to anyone who is over the age of 19, unemployed and living in the North-West. Exceptions can be made for those employed if you get in touch with, We Are Digital. 

Please note We are Digital are delivering these bootcamps in collaboration with the following delivery partners (Novi Digital, Enterprise 4 All, Blackburn Rovers FC, The Extraordinary Club, Blackpool and Fylde College, Buzzstart Academy, Runshaw College and Oxford Professional Education Group). These 13-week Skills Bootcamps in coding will teach students the skills they need to become software developers.

The bootcamps are open to anyone over the age of 19 and either in work, self-employed, recently unemployed, or returning to work after a break.

QA’s Digital Skills Bootcamps feature both virtual and face to face bootcamps taking place over 9 weeks. The courses available are Software Development, Data Engineering, DevOps and Cyber Security and all courses cover content up to a Level 4 Apprenticeship standard.

The bootcamps are open to anyone over the age of 19, who is a British citizen or has lived in the UK for at least 3 years.  QA are looking for individuals with a can-do attitude, who have enthusiasm for the subject and are eager to learn and can commit to 100% attendance across the 9-week programme.

The School of Code is offering a 16 week, intensive, full-time and remote Skills Bootcamp in Software Development starting in November.  They will train you to become a full-stack (front and backend) developer before helping you get your first job in tech. 

To be eligible you'll need to live in the North West.  You'll also need to have access to a computer and the internet between 9 am - 5pm, Monday to Friday for the duration of the course.

Skills City are offering six Skills Bootcamps within Skills City, including AWS re/Start cloud engineering, Unity in Industry, Unity Professional Artist, Raytheon Cyber Academy, Black Disruptors Data Analytics and Black Codhers Software Engineering.

The Skills Bootcamps are employer-led with support from industry leaders including BAE Systems and Bentley Motors, and XR and immersive experts Taran3D and v360.

To be eligible, you'll need to live in the North West aged 19 or over, who are either in-work, looking for work, or have been unemployed for 12 months or less.
