Supporting learners

Currently employed but ready to take the next step in your career? Maybe you’re looking to change career entirely and move into a new industry?
Skills for Growth is here to help.
This three-year programme is focused on upskilling and reskilling employed people across Greater Manchester in order to reduce inequalities, increase the local talent pool and provide new opportunities for local people.
Skills for Growth has been designed specifically to develop the skills that businesses have identified they cannot find in Greater Manchester.
Targeted activity will be delivered to support priority groups to increase their skills levels. In particular, this will include Greater Manchester's ageing population, people who are low paid and women in employment.
The fully-funded courses and workshops will also be targeted toward certain industries. These include:
- Digital
- Construction (particularly retrofit and green technologies)
- Manufacturing
- Health and social care
- Hospitality
- Logistics
- Education
- Creative, technology and culture
