Local Enterprise Partnership seeks new members

Greater Manchester's Local Enterprise Partnership (GM LEP) is currently looking for senior business professionals to become new members.

We need people who are passionate about the region and can help shape its future.

Greater Manchester's Local Enterprise Partnership sits at the heart of Greater Manchester’s governance arrangements, ensuring business leaders, working with the Combined Authority, are at the heart of setting the strategic course of Greater Manchester, determining local economic priorities and driving growth and job creation within the city region.

Who are we looking for?

As the economic climate evolves, the region is facing new and different challenges. Against this backdrop of change, we're looking for individuals to help set the LEP’s direction.

With your expert business knowledge, you’ll see that we address Greater Manchester’s needs through our twin-track approach of growth and reform. It’s a chance to take the lead in areas where you have particular expertise and in areas where, with your influence and knowledge, you can make a significant impact.

A role such as this calls for considerable group or board level experience. You’ll bring formidable business skills and clear insight into the Greater Manchester region. An independent thinker, you combine your knowledge with analytical thinking. You are quick to understand issues and able to contribute to strategy. Strong communication skills mean you can express your thoughts articulately and collaborate with others.

We want to hear from potential members who reflect the full range of Greater Manchester’s business sectors and the diversity of its people. In particular, our board would benefit from more representation from the health innovation, manufacturing and property sectors, but we are keen to hear from anyone with the experience outlined above.
