Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham said: “I would like to thank Rishi for his hard work on issues relating to Social Cohesion and Children and Young People across Greater Manchester.
“The Shared Future’s Report provides a road map of how we can ensure that our city-region is inclusive and breaks down the barriers that prevent our diverse communities from reaching their potential. We now also have an ambitious plan in place to improve outcomes for Greater Manchester’s children between now and 2022.
“It has been a pleasure working with Rishi and he will be a loss to Bury and to Greater Manchester, but I wish him well for the future.”
