Youth Civic Leadership Programme

The Civic Youth Steering Group Programme is an initiative to encourage young people to learn more about civic participation and to inspire them to take on civic leadership roles and be active community leaders. Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) is working with Youth Leads UK to deliver the programme. As part of the programme, they’ve developed the “Empowering Young Citizens: The Future is Now!” resource pack. This ground-breaking resource aims to boost civic education and engagement. Consisting of interactive activities, knowledge and pathways, the pack is designed for educators and community and youth leaders working with young people aged 14+. Helping to support more young people to learn more about civic roles and how they can get involved.
