We are not the police. If you need to speak to Greater Manchester Police, please call 101. Or you can visit Greater Manchester Police’s website to find contact details for your local policing team. In an emergency, always dial 999.
Reporting crime anonymously
If you’re worried about talking to the police, or you’re worried that someone will find out you have spoken to the police, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Crimestoppers is a charity which is entirely independent of police and they never share details with police of people who have got in touch.
GM Victim Survey
As part of the Deputy Mayor’s role, she is committed to listening to residents' views on policing, crime and criminal justice. To ensure that services meet the needs of everyone in our diverse city region, the Deputy Mayor wants to better understand victims’ experiences of the criminal justice system in Greater Manchester.
If you’re interested in taking part, there is a short survey you will need to complete. It will ask about your experience of a crime reported to Greater Manchester Police and your experiences pre and post-trial trial. After the survey, you will be invited to a 45-minute phone interview to discuss your experience of going through the criminal justice system, as well as how you were supported and kept informed throughout the process.
Your participation is voluntary and confidential. This research is independent of Greater Manchester Police and will not affect your case in any way. All responses are anonymous and handled in line with the Market Research Society (MRS) Code of Conduct.
If you would like to take part in these interviews, please complete this short survey (external website).
