About Recycle for Greater Manchester

Recycle for Greater Manchester (R4GM) is the public-facing brand used by the Waste & Resources team to communicate with the public.

We work with local councils in Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside and Trafford, to inspire and encourage the residents of Greater Manchester to manage their waste responsibly, helping residents to see the value of waste and the real benefits that can be achieved by wasting less and recycling right.

What we do

Develop creative and innovative campaigns to encourage and inspire residents to recycle more, recycle right and waste less at home and on the move
Educate students and communities through tours and visits at our Education Centres
Help residents to see waste as a valuable resource which should be conserved, recycled or used to create energy
Engage with residents in an honest, clear, simple and creative way that inspires change
Provide up to date and relevant information that gives people the advice they need, when they need it
Work together with our council partners and communities to achieve greater benefits for all, making Greater Manchester a great place to live, work and do business.
