The vision is backed by a robust evidence base, comprising national reports, near-real-time data about the labour market and skills base, and dedicated insights assembled by the GM Skills Observatory. A partnership between the GM Chamber of Commerce, The Growth Company, GMCA and MIDAS, the GM Skills Observatory bring together a wide range of data sources and intelligence to produce a credible and verified understanding of the skills and labour market challenges facing the GM economy.
Data packs will be produced to help guide and inform the Industry Integration Board, covering the macroeconomic picture, skills & labour market trends, and the sector-specific challenges. In addition to monitoring the national skills picture, the data packs will draw information from the following local sources:
