Future Workforce Fund
Future Workforce Fund
In Partnership with The Prince’s Trust we have embarked on an exciting programme of work called Future Workforce Fund. Future Workforce Fund aligns with the Greater Manchester Strategy Our People, Our Place and aims to:
- develop the personal and social skills of young people
- raise aspirations and help to fulfil educational potential
- equip young people with skills for work and access to jobs & training
Ten projects were successful in gaining funding through the Future Workforce Fund Grants Programme. Over the next 12 months, these projects will support over 400 young people aged 14 – 25 to build the skills, confidence and networks to positively engage with education, employment and training.
The Digital Futures Fund
The Digital Futures Fund is a collaboration between The Prince’s Trust and the GMCA as part the Future Workforce Fund.
The Digital Futures Fund is seeking applications from organisations or consortia who can deliver creative approaches to supporting young people aged 16-25 in developing their digital skills and helping them secure and sustain employment or training within the digital industry, for those who may otherwise not have had the opportunity to access the sector. Employers must be involved in designing the training on offer – to ensure that any courses offered, or training provided is appropriate to the needs of the digital industry and deliver the skills they need to recruit.
