10GM is a joint venture created to support the VSCE sector in the city-region. 10GM are co-ordinating a partnership of local voluntary, community and social enterprise infrastructure organisations and specialist partners. This is to support GMCA’s capacity building and developing the infrastructure of local civil society and community groups in Greater Manchester.
The Growth Company is a key delivery partner for both the city-region’s UKSPF and Multiply programmes. They are supporting a number of initiatives from engaging residents with short numeracy courses to connecting local businesses with industry-leading research and guidance to help them bring their innovative ideas to market.
Workers Educational Association (WEA)
WEA manages the city-region’s Community Grants Programme – a £5m pot over three years allowing VCSE groups and Housing Associations to bid for funding of up to £100,000 to invest in a flexible and free local offer, ensuring support is targeted to those who need it most - in particular residents with basic entry level qualifications. Outcomes will include supporting residents to overcome barriers that may prevent them from accessing learning opportunities as well as offering capacity building support to smaller VCSE organisations so the programme can benefit as many grass-roots groups as possible.
