GMCA have invested over £1.2bn into commercial property, residential development and businesses. The funds are a clear example of how GM’s approach to investment can deliver exponential outcomes through effectively investing and recycling. The Greater Manchester Investment Fund is a series of investment funds aimed at encouraging business growth and investment in property and infrastructure.
Achievements to date:
- £110m invested into businesses within Greater Manchester creating/safeguarding over 8,347 jobs
- Over £350m invested into commercial property schemes and businesses, supporting the development of 204,295sqm of BREEAM accredited space and c27Ha of Brownfield land redeveloped
- £700m invested into residential development, supporting the building of over 7,000 new homes
Overall, our ambition is for Greater Manchester to become a financially self-sustaining city, sitting at the heart of a Northern Powerhouse with the size, the assets, the skilled population and political and economic influence to rival any global city. We are hugely optimistic about our future as a place to invest.
