Training provider support

Are you driven to support individuals to better themselves? Do you strive to instil confidence and support people with the skills they need to reach their career ambitions?

Join our Skills Bootcamps family.

Skills Bootcamps aim to build job prospects and support economic recovery. They are being delivered as part of the Department for Education’s National Skills Fund, which aims to help adults gain skills sought after by employers.

The programme will focus on priority groups including:

  • low paid and unemployed/not in work
  • veterans
  • ex-offenders
  • women
  • ethnic minorities
  • over 50s
  • those returning work after a break/parental leave
  • people living with a health condition/disability

In early 2022, GMCA secured £7m from DfE to deliver Skills Bootcamps, supporting 2,500 people across Greater Manchester working in a range of sectors.

Various opportunities are now live for training providers to bid for and deliver training in the below industries.

  • Digital/Technology
  • Construction & Green Skills
  • Advanced Manufacturing
  • Logistics & HGV

For each commission awarded, GMCA is looking for a lead training provider, who will then partner with a supply chain.

Providers must ensure that any learners enrolled on a Skills Bootcamp achieve a successful outcome, including upskilling into a new or different role within 6 months of completion.

If you'd like to support training delivery, keep checking The Chest for our latest commission opportunities.
