Dave Brown

David Brown runs the independent Manchester-based music blog Even The Stars featuring new music from the city and beyond and also contributes to the Louder Than War online website.

He has championed now-established bands like Blossoms, The Slow Readers Club, LIINES and Ist Ist at the start of their careers and has worked extensively with Tim Booth and James for many years.

He has been involved with the Everybody Belongs Here campaign that ran the Music Feeds online festival earlier this year that raised over £1 million for food poverty and music industry charities.

A passionate gig-goer, attending over 200 shows per year prior to COVID, he will seek to represent the views and experiences of the grassroots music fan on the Commission.
