Skills Gaps in Greater Manchester

In 2020, GMCA formed a new Skills Intelligence team that played a key role in informing and developing the Skills for Growth programme.
Supported by Skills for Growth – SME Support, the intelligence team spent time engaging with employers in the programme’s priority industries to understand the skills gaps and hard-to-fill vacancies in both large and small employers.
Since then, the Skills Intelligence Team has evolved into a wider Greater Manchester Labour Market Insights Unit, pulling in analysis from the GM Chamber of Commerce, Business Growth Hub, and MIDAS. Summary packs below are produced by this joint unit.
